Content Management Systems are an integral part of the Web 2.0 push into social networking and a central point to managing web content in an organization. Nearly all web sites for medium and large companies are done on content management system. Content management systems (CMS for short) enable many designers and content writers to be working on a company website all at once. Permissions can be set so different departments have access to different parts of the website. Since multiple people can be working on the site at once, changes can be made quickly and reflected on your website immediately. No longer do you have to send content to the web guy and wait for him to modify your site. You or your employees can change the site whenever changes are needed.
